Insurance Information

I am an out-of-network (OON) provider and do not accept insurance or EAP companies. Many insurance plans offer out of network benefits that may reimburse a portion of your therapy session costs. I can provide a superbill (a detailed receipt) upon request for you to submit for potential out-of-network reimbursement.

The best way to learn about your specific plan benefits is to reach out to a customer service agent and receive information in writing.

  • Do I have out-of-network benefits for mental health sessions?
    • Does this cover both telehealth and in-person sessions?
  • Is there a limit on the number of reimbursable therapy sessions per year?
    • If yes, how many visits are covered?
    • Does that vary for telehealth vs. in-person sessions?
  • Will I be reimbursed for seeing a licensed independent clinical social worker?
  • What percentage of the session fee is reimbursed for OON provider for the following service codes:
    • 60-minutes First Session/Intake: 90791
    • 60-minutes Ongoing Sessions: 90837
  • What is my out-of-pocket maximum for out-of-network services?
  • What documentation do I need to submit to receive OON therapy reimbursements for OON providers (documentation, diagnosis, provider NPI number, etc.)?
  • How long will it take to be reimbursed for sessions after I have submitted my claims?
    • How will I receive reimbursement (check, direct deposit, etc.)?

Good Faith Estimate

Under the No Surprises Act, you have the right to request and receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your mental health care will reasonably cost. In particular, this is for patients who do not have insurance or are not using insurance to receive an estimate of the bill for the services you receive. The Good Faith Estimate will be provided upon scheduling an intake session.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

I offer both virtual and in person therapy. For in person sessions, my office is located in the Ravenna neighborhood of Seattle. There is free street parking surrounding my office building and nearby public transportation routes include the Roosevelt light rail station and the 62 and 372 bus lines. Virtual therapy is only available for people residing in Washington state due to professional licensure requirements. Virtual sessions take pace on a HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform.

I work with clients on a weekly basis when starting our work together to establish our therapeutic relationship and make progress towards your goals. Meeting at least once a week is supported by research to improve the benefits of therapy. I offer less frequent appointments to clients who have achieved their goals and are preparing to transition out of therapy.

You can reach out by submitting a contact form below. I will follow up to schedule a free 20 minute consultation call. This call is an opportunity to briefly talk about what you’re looking for in therapy and answer any questions you might have. If it feels like a good fit, we will schedule the first session and talk about next steps.
